To my understanding, working should be all business and staff should not carry any emotions. I forget how many times I get pissed by calling center staffs. Shouldn’t they be trained to be more professional and be able to handle complaints? Remember, customers are always correct.

One of my major peeves is so-called customer service people who are rude! Most of my jobs (clerical, insurance agent, sales) have required me to be very polite, no matter how rude or ignorant my customer/client may have been. No, it's not easy but it's what I got the big bucks for.
I grew up in a family-run business and under the tutilege of my dad, I was taught that, indeed, the customer is always right~!
I'm even sorrier that in your case, your ethnicity is taken into regard. We all need to take a long look in the mirror and realize that we are all created in the image of God. By that token, you are my brother.
